Appointments
We see patients for all types of appointments, including well checks, physicals, sports physicals, sick visits, minor injuries, vaccinations, lab services, and any type of care coordination for your child.
Telephone Triage
Our dedicated telephone triage staff is available for questions during normal business hours. Any clinical questions are welcome. This is also a way to get a question to your physician. We will strive to return your calls by the end of the business day.
If there is ever a life-threatening emergency, you should always call 911.
Prescription Renewals and Refills
- You can have your pharmacy send a renewal or refill request to our office via fax.
- If you're calling for a routine prescription refill, it must be requested during normal business hours. Please allow 24 hours for refill requests to be completed.
Referrals
When one of our physicians refers your child to a specialist, our nurses will contact your insurance company to obtain the proper referrals.
The referral process can take up to 48 hours to be completed. If one of our physicians requests that you take your child to the ER, please call your insurance company and our office within 24 hours of the visit.
Youth Transition Policy
Transitioning to responsible teen care and into adulthood can be a challenging time for both parents and patients. To learn more about communicating with your teen during this important transition, please review our youth transition policy letter. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to talk with your doctor.
Payment and Billing
We require an insurance card and applicable co-payment, co-insurance, or deductibe for each appointment. We happily accept many major insurance carriers as well as some TennCare plans.
We do ask that you become familiar with your insurance benefits prior to any visit. This includes finding out if your plan will cover well visits, sick visits, and the portion you are responsible for.
Any co-payment will also be expected at the time of service. If you are unable to pay a co-payment for a sick visit, please contact our billing office prior to your visit to make the necessary arrangements.
