Our Mission
Our mission is to serve the public in providing exemplary and compassionate care while embracing the needs of our patients, employees, and the community. Each individual will receive the same diligent attention regardless of race, religion, or creed.
Our History
Children's Clinic East was established in 1951 by Dr. Luthur A. Beazley, M.D. at 2614 Old Lebanon Road. Dr. William Wadlington, M.D. and Dr. Bill Doak, M.D. joined in 1958 and 1960 respectively.
The clinic has grown over the years and now features 16 Pediatric Board-Certified Physicians and a nurse practitioner. We proudly joined Heritage Medical Associates January 1, 2021.
Appointments
Whenever possible, please call ahead to schedule your child's appointment. Same-day appointments are available, but we request that you call to be added to the schedule. We serve patients from birth through college.
Well-Child Care
For your child's best health, our physicians recommend the following schedule of appointments:
- Newborn checkup - 3 to 5 days after birth
- 2-week visit
- 1-month checkup
- 2-month checkup
- 4-month checkup
- 6-month checkup
- 9-month checkup
- 12-month checkup
- 15-month checkup
- 18-month checkup
- 24-month checkup
- 30-month checkup
- 3-year checkup
- 4-year checkup
- 5-year checkup
- 6-year checkup
- Annual check-ups every year thereafter
Extra time is required for well-child care appointments. We do recommend that you schedule the appointments in advance to avoid delays or breaks in the schedule. This goes for sports, school, and camp physicals as well.
Services Provided
Our clinic is dedicated to providing a wide variety of quality pediatric care services to your child ranging from newborn care to teenage physicals. We also provide these additional services:
- Routine immunizations and vaccinations
- Minor laceration treatment
- Various lab services
- Spirometry
- Audiogram - hearing screenings
- Tympanogram
Hospitals
Our doctors can admit patients and make rounds at the following area hospitals:
- Tristar Summit Medical Center
- St. Thomas Midtown
- Tristar Centennial Medical Center
If your child is ever admitted to the hospital after clinic hours or is seen in the emergency room, please contact our nurse triage line within 24 hours of the visit.
